This weekend is the final round of the Florida Winter Am Series. The new 4 round format has been a great success, along with the new “D” Classes to help new riders ease into this great series. We want to thank everyone who has joined us so far, and hope to see everyone this weekend at Gatorback!

Also, this is your final chance to ride Gatorback Cycle Park before the Loretta Lynn Regional Qualifier coming up, so take advantage of this opportunity to line up at the gate this weekend!

We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! The Unlimited Sports MX crew has been hard at work preparing for the 40th Annual Winter Am Series Presented by FMF.  With some big changes in store for this year, it should be one of the best seasons yet! As you probably know, we’ve now gone to four rounds for the series, utilizing the absolute best tracks that Florida has to offer. Also, for the first time ever, the Winter Am series will contain a “D/Beginner” Class for those who are just starting out in racing, this is designed to be for beginner/novice riders only, and the link to the guidelines for racing in the class can be found below.

40th Annual Winter Am Series

News and Info:
This week, the 2011 Winter Am Schedule has been posted, with the big news being that there are only FOUR ROUNDS this year for the 40th Annual Florida Winter Am Series.
Not to worry though, it will have the same great factory contingencies, $2500 Payback for the pro class, as well as series awards for those who place. The schedule is as follows:
Rd. 1: Gatorback – Jan 1-2
Rd 2: Dade City – Jan 8-9
Rd 3: Reddick – Jan 15-16
Rd 4: Gatorback – Jan 22-23

Winter Am Series Schedule

January 2011 will mark the 40th annual Florida Winter AM Series. Since 1970 the Florida Winter AM Series has been the most recognized and prestigious motocross series in the United States.

For years top pro motocross racers like Bob Hannah, David Baily, Jeff Stanton, Damon Bradshaw, Kevin Windham and many other racers across the United States have flocked to Florida in the Winter to train and race this six race series that is loaded with competition. If you want to be the best, you have to ride with the best.

The first round starts at Gatorback Cycle Park on January 1, 2011. Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha all support this series with their contingency payout to the top racers of each round. Dunlop tires is a major sponsor and the winners of the overall series will get free tires.
