I arrived at the track right before the first moto went off the gate. Did not make it in time for Sunday morning practice, sorry about that. H.O.T. is what today was! First official hot day of the year, for me anyways, where the humidity is terrible. Heat didn’t seem to bother the riders though, great racing today for sure!
SENDI GOSS was on Pit Patrol this weekend, and did a great job, please thank Sendi in the pits when you see her. I can’t thank her enough, she always brings me water and Gatorade during the day. Check out the picture at the bottom of the featured pictures of her poor quad. RIP little 90….! Sendi’s picture link is below located under the race picture link.
Did not take any race notes but following are a few names to mention who were in hot pursuit of a first place. Taylor Ditzian – Kody Goss – Bradford Young – Skylar Demuth – Dustin Whitehead – Roberto Castillo – Robert Vogel – Donnie Delgado – Mark Beamer – Brinsley Dyess. There are more but that is all I can remember.
The next Florida Series Race is Sunday May 23rd at Thundercross.

I thought I lived in Florida, and that this time of year we are supposed to be worried about forest fires. Anyways, RAIN OR SHINE DADE CITY HAS RACES. Today it rained all day long, however the track held up very nice! Give me an “A” for effort! Let’s see, I had one hand holding an umbrella all day long, and the other hand holding the camera. Needless to say the result is not very good, as most of the pictures have a little blur to them, since I could not use both hands to keep the camera steady, and I had one hand to quickly change setting on the camera throughout the day. I had to switch to a smaller lens just so I could hold the camera. I am pretty sure that the flash was hidden behind/under the umbrella, duh…. Not to many pictures were taken, I did not want to chance ruining my camera.

Dade City Motocross
April 15th, 2010
This weekend is packed with racing action. It all kicks off Saturday morning with practice on the extended track from 9-2p.m. Followed with Saturday night racing which will kick off at 3 p.m. for practice, the racing will start at 5. Sunday is the Florida motocross series race on the extended track. Practice Starts at 8:30 a.m., races start at 10 a.m. Here is the price breakdown.
Electrical fee – $40/weekend
Gate fees for the weekend:
Friday: $25 per person – good for Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Saturday (Day practice only) – $20 per person – if you leave by 3:00p.m. you will turn in your wrist band for a $10 reimbursement
Saturday (Day Practice and night program) – $20 person.
Saturday (Day practice, night program, Sunday) – $20 person
Saturday (night program only) – $10 per person, gates will be open at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday Only – $15 person
Practice/Race fees:
Saturday Practice: $20
Saturday Night Racing: $25
Sunday Racing: $25
Florida Series or Dade City Membership will be honored for the entire weekend. Practice, Race Saturday and race Sunday with EITHER card.
Saturday night is Round 3 of the Spring Series. 10 positions awarded back in each class, no matter how many riders.
