Sunday evening after the races.

What a GREAT weekend!  Saturday I took lots of pictures, and they will be posted soon.  I did not video tape the races today, just took pictures.  I did video tape some of the Pumpkin race and the costume contest.  Took pictures of the pumpkin carving contest, and there were some very creative designs.  Thanks to Erik Fortin #5, and his little girl Sam for carving a DZP pumpkin, and they got  3rd place!  Saturday was just awesome!  Practice, pumpkin race, pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, trick or treating, haunted trail walk, then a live band!

Best wishes to Jordan Swingle #161, he took a helicopter ride today after a nasty crash.  Update:  Monday AM.  Found out Jordan has two brain hemotomas, broken T 7 vertabra and a broken nose.  He is currently in ICU.

Stars Of Tomorrow Super Mini Invitational – Dade City Nov 7th, 2009

November 7th, 2009 is Dade City’s annual Stars Of Tomorrow Super Mini Invitational!  Representing South Florida is Joey Keel and Alex Patapis!  If you travel up to Dade City for the race you will be in for a treat, there will be some excellent racing from the fastest Mini’s in the state.

Good luck to Joey and Alex.  DZP will be at STMX this Sunday October 18th shooting some pictures of Joey Keel and Alex Patapis, (if I can get ahold of him) for the program.  DZP will also be attending the race at Dade City Motocross.

I am hoping to post a roster of the riders who will be participating, once the track completes the list.

Gold Cup Last Round At Gatorback This Weekend

Round 6… Florida Gold Cup Series… Gatorback Cycle Park… October 17th & 18th…

The final round of the Florida Gold Cup Series will be this weekend at Gatorback Cycle Park.

The SX track will be finished and Unlimited Sports will be offering a practice session on that track along with the practice on the MX track. When you go to sign up you will be offered to practice either just the MX or just the SX for $20 each session, or you can sign up for both sessions for the cost of $30. Practice will be 9 am till 4 pm on Saturday.

Sunday is Race day.

Church service will be at 7:30. Following Church service will be the riders meeting, then practice.

South Florida Series Bithlo Updates

SOUTH FLORIDA MOTOCROSS SERIES comes to BITHLO MOTORSPORTS this weekend.  September 19-20, 2009

This series is Round Two.  If you missed the first round….No Problem you can sign up for Round One and still be elgible for the overall award banquet at THE SEMINOLE HARD ROCK CASINO.  There are also no membership fees associated with this series.  Just Come and race!!

Matt Boni ” Supercross Privateer of the Year” will be onsite during Saturdays practice to ride with everyone and provide autographs and pictures.  Matt will also be available for any questions on riding and racing.

Sunday,  Fish from WPS, FLY and representing SCOTT USA will be around with some swag for the riders.  Wes Kain will be in the Pits all day Sunday conversing and being well…Wes Kain.

Dade City – James Stewart Ride Day Saturday Press Release

There is A TON of great racing action this weekend at Dade City MX, so let’s get started with all the information by getting you through the gate.

Gold Cup Gate Fees:

Friday through Sunday   $25/person
Saturday/Sunday           $20/person
Sunday Only                  $15/person

Dade City gate fee for Saturday night only:$10 (Gates open at 3:00p.m. Saturday)

If you would like to come out to the James Stewart Ride Day:
There is no gate fee or ride fee, but please be advised that you must leave by 3 p.m. because the Saturday night race program will be starting. You are only permitted through the gate for the James Stewart Ride Day between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

If you are planning to race Saturday Night:
Both motorcycles and quads are welcome to race Saturday night with the applicable membership (Dade City MX membership or Unlimited Sports MX membership) Randy will allow Unlimited Sports Membership cardholders to race Saturday night instead of having to purchase a Dade City MX membership for the night’s event. If you are only racing Saturday night, there is a $10 gate fee per person (like stated above) and you are not permitted to camp overnight.

Sunday Gold Cup on the extended track:
Gate fee for Sunday Only $15/person
Practice starts at 8:30 a.m. and races start at 10 a.m.
