Went to Lakeland today for the Winter Am race.
Links to the pictures below. There are four sets.
I want to thank the track owners for allowing me access to the track! Check out their website at www.quicktrackmx.com
Cool track, it reminds me of Okeechobee. Motocross track on one side and a speedway right next to it. This was my first time at Quick Track and shame on me!! Left at 5:00 AM from Naples and it did not take me long to get there, only about 2.5 hours. Dummy me, I forgot that the Winter Am racing is both Saturday and Sunday, so when I arrived today they were already on the 10th race of the last set of motos, so I decided to just take pictures and forget about the video.
Racing is still going on as I am typing this. Have not left the track yet. Thank god for wireless.. lol Real muddy around the track, but the track itself was not bad at all. The track crew really prepped it well for the race, and maintained it during the day. It was cold, but the sun was out the entire day… Never wear slip on shoes when walking through mud all day! Right before I took the picture below of Sean Lipanovich, I was battling the mud. I walked right into a mud pit, my feet sunk abut a foot and the mud had such a grip on my feet that I could not move. This was all right in front of the stands so I was pretty horrified!! I finally got one foot out, without my sock or shoe attached, and then finally the other foot, again without my sock and shoe. I am now barefoot digging in the mud holding my camera, knowing that all I wanted to do was get to the top of the hill to get some good shots of the guys who were scrubbing that particular one. I finally dug my shoes out, and slipped them on mud and all and ran. Got the shot!

Hi
The flagger hit in collision,Luke Rivers from Lakeland is OK.He was thoroughly checked out in emergency room.He has a spranged wrist,a slight concussion, headache, bumps bruises, and cuts…but considering everything that could’ve been broke,OK.
I told Luke that he was to be alert and protect any downed riders. He was doing this when I rider failed to see him in time and crashed into him.
Thank you for your concerns to the ones who have asked.
Brian,his father.
Thank you for the update on Luke. I am so glad he is okay. We all wish him the best.
